Choosing a Funeral Home

Choosing a funeral home is a decision based on a family’s feelings of confidence earned through years of dedicated service to the community.

Since 1956, Andrett Funeral Home has provided compassionate service to families during their time of loss and bereavement with a flexibility that allows each family to choose the arrangements that best fit their own personal needs.

Why Andrett Funeral Home?

Today, Manhattan families select Andrett Funeral Home for chapel, church, synagogue, burial and cremation services.

Much of the confidence and trust we receive from the families we have served for multiple generations is based on our attention to the “little” details, including 24-hour emergency service, private areas to confer comfortably, a wide selection of caskets and coffins for funeral and cremation purposes, a complete line of burial vaults, monument choices and inscription services, and floral offerings. We are also well acquainted with veteran and Social Security benefits, livery rental, visitation, and church and cemetery guidelines. We are also pleased to assist with any out-of-town arrangements.

Our mission has been to help lighten the burden and improve the experience that one has when going through the difficult time of arranging the funeral of a loved one. We achieve this through a staff of well-trained professionals, who through their sensitivity and creativity, help guide you through your journey to healing.

Our directors will guide you in your arrangements so that your cost will be within your means and that the service that you plan will be meaningful.

Full Service in the Heart of Manhattan

We are a family owned, full-service funeral home located in Manhattan serving Stuyvesant Town, Peter Cooper Village, Gramercy Park and Waterside Plaza. Andrett Funeral Home was founded by James Andrews and his wife, Helen Barrett, who were the sole owners until 1972. We have taken great pride in serving many of our families, generation after generation. During that period of time, we have served families of all faiths, nationalities and beliefs from many different communities of New York City.

Whether your need for our services is immediate or part of planning for the future, we will gently guide you through each step of the process. Our sensitivity and expertise will help make a difficult time a little more bearable.
