Catherine McKew Cheney passed away peacefully in the evening of October 8, 2022. Pre-deceased by her husband Paul, Cathy is survived by her children, Kate Patton and Jim Cheney, her children-in-law Kate Dolan-Cheney and Peter Patton, her sisters Maureen McKew and Ann Hirsch, and her grandchildren Paul Patton, Eleanor “Ellie” Patton, and Jack Cheney.
She will be remembered very fondly for her generous spirit, her hospitable nature, her baking acumen, her great sense of fun, and her fathoms deep intolerance of those who chose to be phony and/or rude. In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations be offered in her name to Grace Church School:
