Obituary of Judith O’Connell

Judith O’Connell (nee Atkinson) passed away on June 4, 2023 at Calvary hospice in the Bronx.  She was 87 years old.

She will be forever missed by her sister Janet Moore; her four grateful children Eileen Arcuri, nee O’Connell (Joseph Arcuri), William O’Connell (Mary Alice O’Connell), Kathleen O’Connell (Karen Berner), Susan Lynch nee O’Connell (Michael Lynch); and her six cherished grandchildren JP Arcuri, Mary Kate Arcuri, Thomas O’Connell, Alice O’Connell, Patrick Lynch and Kerry Lynch.

She was a nurse, a sister, a faithful parishioner and an optimistic Mets fan.  She loved a good book, a tall G & T and a day at the beach at Long Beach Island.

She was a devoted mom to her four children and an adoring grandmother.  We will remember her with a smile on her face, a grandchild on her lap and extraordinary amount of love in heart.
