Anne entered this life on August 10, 1930, in Astoria, NY to the late Aldrick and Margaret Beaudette (née Doyle). She lived with her parents in Astoria, obtained her Bachelor Degree at Hunter College, and worked in Manhattan as a secretary until her marriage to the late William J. McLaughlin in 1956. Anne was a real New York City girl who moved to Queens County, New York after marriage and then to Manhasset, Long Island where she devoted herself to raising five adoring daughters, Grace Rainey (William), Margaret McLaughlin (John), Anne Welch (Edward), Irene Clark (Jesse) and the late Patricia Kavanagh (Michael). Having always kept up her stenography skills, Anne easily re-entered the corporate workforce as an Executive Secretary at Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for twelve years before retiring. Anne & Bill moved back to New York City which they loved so much 30 years ago settling in Peter Cooper Village on the East Side of Manhattan, a true haven for them and the entire family.
Anne valued her family dearly and was so proud of her grandchildren including Joanna Osolnik (née Eisman; Jon Michael), Matthew Eisman (Helga), Faith Curtis (née Welch; Katie), Sean Welch (Kayla) & Christian Welch. Her great grandchildren, Cole Osolnik, Daphne Grace Osolnik, Khloe Welch, Kyler Welch, Kamden Welch, Arnþór Eisman, Kelly Drudy and Erin Drudy held a very special place in her heart.
Anne is survived by her brother, Joseph Beaudette, whom she loved so much. He raised his family of seven in Manhasset, as well. Anne loved following and sharing the goings-on of her nephews, nieces, their children and grandchildren.
In addition to Anne's parents, she is preceded in death by her husband William J. McLaughlin, her sister, Sister Margaret Beaudette, SC and her daughter, Patricia Kavanagh.
Anne was a devoted member of the Church of St. Agnes in midtown Manhattan where she found strength and fellowship. She was a staunch advocate for the unborn participating with and supporting many related causes.
