Obituary of Elizabeth C. Weese
June 30, 2019
On June 30, Elizabeth Catherine Weese, daughter of Elizabeth M. and Fred V. Weese passed on at the age of 96 years young.
Born on April 20, 1923, Elizabeth was a dear neighbor and friend to many. She engaged everyone she met, remembering their names as well as something special about them. Her mind was sharp. She was a wealth of knowledge about books, opera, history, travel, the in's and out's of dinner parties, finance, and aging.
Elizabeth was a model of generosity. She gave financial assistance to two seminarians who became priests, many students at Immaculate Conception School and LaSalle Academy, as well as several charities. Involved in many organizations, Elizabeth was a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre (Lady Grand Cross), Ladies of Charity, Edith Stein Guild, and Parish Council.
Elizabeth will long be remembered as a smart, determined, spirited and plucky friend and neighbor. She will be missed dearly.
A wake will be held on July 5 from 2pm-7pm at Andrett Funeral Home, 199 Bleecker Street (6th Ave). A funeral Mass will be held on July 6 at 9am at Immaculate Conception Church, 414 E. 14th Street (1st Ave). Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Staten Island.

May the God of all comfort strengthen the family during this time of deep sorrow. Those who pass on, God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. My sincerest condolences. (Psalms 116:15)
